This place is the most beautiful I know. It reminds me the outdoor, which I almost never saw. Furthermore, it is the only place where I can see her. It is only a statue but I have to content myself with it. She is the queen of our world. An inside world, with everything we need to live but without vegetation. From what I know, this room is the only one that is covered with grass and shrubs. It was a normal thing back outside.

I am not supposed to be here. I keep away from the grass and stay on the border of this garden, even if the urge to feel it on my skin is strong. It would have been sacrilegious to touch this ground with my feet.

I am flanked by two perfectly cut yellow stone walls. I can see most of the vegetation from my position. I can see all the things we do not have Here. However, I came for the statue. I fell in love with the woman it represents but I will have to keep contemplating her like this. She is a queen and she will never accept to see me – if she ever was to hear about me.

I am looking at a small stream that goes from my feet to her body when I hear a noise. I make myself invisible – it is my power – and wait silently. A few seconds later, the queen enters the room and goes bare-feet to the statue. She begins to open a hidden door behind her stone effigy. I take a few steps back. It is just enough for me to trip and fall heavily, making a loud noise. She runs towards the entrance to find the provenance of this sound. I keep walking back. I knock over a post that was behind me. She moves towards this new noise.

“I do not know who you are but you would better show yourself before you die!”
“Alright… Here I am.”

She takes a step back when she sees me appearing right before her eyes.

“Who are you?”
“My queen, please pardon me for surprising you. I came here to contemplate your statue.”
“Who told you about this room?”
“Nobody. I found it when I was praying to see you at least once in my life. I came here every day since. I must admit I miss the outside world but not as much as your perfect face.”
“Stop trying to charm me. It will not work. Why did you come here?”
“I just told you.”
“It had to be a secret admirer… An assassin could have been better. Well it is your lucky day. I have important things to deal with - much more important than you. Also you do not look like you are dangerous. You can follow me only if you swear not to talk to anyone about this place and what you are going to see.”
“As you command.”

This is a fast change in her discourse. She almost seemed nice to me.

I follow her in a room hidden behind the statue. There is a huge Panel here, with thousands of places – each different and each located far from the other places. She notices my surprise.

“Beautiful Panel, isn’t it? This is the least a queen needs to keep track of events in her kingdom – and to intervene if necessary.”

I stay silent. I take a look around and see another Panel but with face that look alive on it. She explains that those persons are her most trustful servants, who are everywhere her kingdom goes. They are her eyes.
